Hello, I’m Katie, the artist, and owner of Brick + Bloom Co.

I’ve imagined launching my own online shop for a long time, and I'm so excited the moment has arrived. After majoring in fine art photography in college, I ended up spending several years in New York City under fluorescent lights in an office job, dreaming of more creative pursuits.

In need of a big change of scenery, my husband and I ended up making a move to Charleston, SC. It is a beautiful city that I have long-loved, though I was unsure of what that would mean for me career-wise. I decided this was the perfect time to pursue my vision.

My first release Little Houses is a collection of images that combine my love of photography with color, and hand-drawn/painted patterns, along with a strong dose of flowers. Mixing these elements has been a project I have been working on for quite some time, which has stayed in my mind while constantly evolving over many years. Stay tuned for more to come!
